Baking & Pastry Arts

START DATE: MARCH 14, 2023

OVERVIEW

There are many reasons why many people love to bake. Baking is quite different from cooking. It teaches you to follow a specific sequence of steps. For instance, missing eggs during a particular stage of baking can lead to the whole recipe being ruined. This course will teach you to be methodical, to understand processes and know exactly how long each step takes.

Frank Vollkommer, a master pastry chef said, “one of the reasons I love pastry is that it’s the perfect combination of science, technical Skills and Creativity. You need a little bit of each.” At the end of this course, you will be able to draw up production schedules in order to ensure that the quality of your baking meets established standards.

The Baking and Pastry Arts Course is intense and result-oriented, blending theory and practical sessions to give students a balanced, precise and accurate grasp of baking. It is designed to provide potential students with the stepping stone to learn and expand their skills in the cakes and sugar arts field.
